2 July 2007
Kimberly spent most of the concert dancing and singing, both girls were thrilled to be able to see all their favourite Fairies characters in real life. I asked Kimberly on the way home in the car whether she liked the concerts and she said "no I didn't like the concert Mummy, I loved it!".
Sunday we had both sets of grandparents over to the house to babysit, the girls really are very lucky. David Pop and I managed to get the roof over the deck up and the rock wall finished . We still have lots of fiddly jobs to do which we still expect to have finished before the girls party.

I am back
I can't even remember how long it's been since I last posted. I think it was around the time when I changed jobs. Since then so many things have happened most good but some bad :
- my precious princesses are almost 2 and 4
- we have been on two holidays; Goldcoast and Vietnam
- we are in the process of starting up a new business (KimKat)
- we have started building a cubby house
- I have changed jobs again
- saying goodbye to Nana who passed away in late April
From a family perspective things are going extremely well, I could not wish for a more perfect family. The girls get along really well and genuinely do love each other, last week when Kimberly fell over and hurt herself Katelyn ran over to her and ask her "choc, choc?". The reason for this is Kimberly always brings Katelyn chocolates when she is upset.
I cannot stress just how much I love my gorgeous girls, David thinks they are getting "too spoilt" and I tend to agree with him but they are generally perfect! David and I haven't had much time to spend with the girls lately because of work and building the cubby - we've been very lucky that both sets of grandparents have taken turns with babysitting on the weekends. Here are some pictures ;
The back lane cleared of all the rubbish. This took a few weeks as we had to get the tree loopers in twice (or was it three times) and two trips to the tip.

Stage two: dig stump holes and concert slab. Luckily with had my brother John come to help with this stage. Don't know how we would have managed otherwise.
Stage three: Cubby floor and cubby deck. I have since become very handy with the drill and drop saw.
For the last month building the cubby house has been taking up most of our time on
This Saturday we are going to The Fairy Concert http://www.thefairies.com/ this is an early birthday present for the girls, they are both crazy about fairies. It's so funny, David used to tell Kimberly that if she wasn't good then the Tooth Fairy would come to visit her. I have since taken it one step further and told her about "God", how everyone has a goodie jar and if you are good God puts nice things in your goodie jar but if you are bad then he takes things out! Kimberly really believes it, when Katelyn is naughty she will say "goodie jar". She asked me how God gets things from the goodie to her, and I told her that it was via the people that she loved.
On Sunday everyone aside from David was very lazy and waited for David to get us breakfast in bed, get things for us etc. David got annoyed and had a go at me, Kimberly came to my defence and asked him "Don't yell at mummy, do you want to find a new wife? Is that what you want?". She is so feisty, there is no pushing her around, last week in the car on the way to Kindle Kimberly and David were arguing about something and Kimberly threatened to not invite him to her birthday party - "never, never, never" she said, "not until I am 8" to Kimberly 8 is an eternity.
The girls are both doing really well with their swimming lessons, Katelyn's lessons are during the week and Kimberly's is on Saturday. So every Saturday we go swimming as a family. Both Kim and Kate love diving in from the edge of the pool, Kimberly swims up on her own but we have to keep an eye on Katelyn. They both love swimming.
